QUINTA NOVA DA AZAMBUJALocated in one of the margins of Tejo River and surrounded by Vala Real, Quinta Nova da Azambuja is near the village with the same name situated in one of the extreme points of Ribatejo region.
It belongs to the FIUZA family and was planted 20 years ago. It was recently re-grafted and now possesses Chardonnay, Fernão Pires, Tália and Tinta Roriz grape varieties. In this region, the Tejo River overflows and totally inundates the marsh, and with its waters it brings all its micro-organisms and nutrients that fertilize and strengthens the soil. It has approximately 144 hectares of which 30 hectares holds vineyards. This soil, not been exclusively for the production of grapes, it is also good for maize, tomato and beetroot crops.
